First, I am horrible at self-promotion. All my Minnesota-Lutheran-Introvertedness trembles at the thought of mentioning my art and its availability for sale. Somehow I want you to say you love/want/will buy my creative work instead of me blathering on about how hard I worked on any given creation.
I believe art is directly linked to emotion. And while I can explain how “photograph A” took me days to edit, crop, and manipulate, I suspect what matters most to the potential buyer is the feeling he or she gets gazing at it. Ditto for my silk scarves, and how they feel on the buyer’s skin, or that they have the colors that work wardrobe magic.

All of my art–wearable or visual–is meant to bring uniqueness to your life. My intention is that when you see it, walk past it, hold it, you feel a sense of joy over and over again. And that brings me to the second part…

I think we are all in agreement this is the winter that will never end. However, snowstorms or not, I have been juried into a number of art events over the summer months and wanted to put out my schedule. (Last summer I was berated for not having a printed calendar of my art fair appearances, and I vowed I would do better this year. Ta da!)
So here’s the 2018 schedule thus far:

–On May 19th, I will be giving a mother/daughter silk scarf painting playshop from 10-noon, at Gustaf’s Gallery, in Lindstrom, MN. The event is limited to the first 8-10 women, and the cost is $35 a person. Wouldn’t it be fun to paint a scarf for your mom, or daughter…or you? I’m afraid no wine this time, but there will be tea and almond cake! Gustaf’s is a fantastic gallery, and I’m honored to be part of it. Sign up at gustafsgalleries.com
–I will be at Northfield’s “Riverwalk Market” from 9-1 on the following Saturdays: 6/2, 6/16, 6/30, 8/25, 9/22, 9/29, and 10/6.

On July 14 & 15 I will be at the Phelps Mill Festival near Fergus Falls, MN. It’s a pretty location right behind the historic mill, so if you’re in the area, please swing by! Phelpsmillfestival.com
July 27-29 finds me at the Ely Blueberry Festival. This is my third year at this huge event, and I love it. Ely.org
Aug 11 & 12 I will be at the Northern Hollow Wine and Art Fest near Pine City, MN. This will be my first time at Northern Hollow, and I look forward to being in the company of many excellent artists. NorthernHollowWinery.com
***Sadly, I will NOT be at the Marine On St. Croix Festival this year. It falls during a time in September that I will be out of state taking a photography class. My aim is to be back in 2019, though!
