It was one of those days where it was hard to leave the warmth and softness of our bed. My husband gave me a kiss before he headed off to work, and I wriggled deeper under the blankets. Guilt finally found me under there, and made me get up and moving. I shuffled and yawned as I coaxed the sheets to look like a smooth bed…I think. My eyes didn’t want to fully function. The cold air qualified my skin for the world’s biggest goose-bumps. (Is there a record for that?) Pulling a sweater over my head I wandered into the bathroom. On the counter, in bold marker, was a sheet of paper. In my husband’s wild scribble were the words, “I love you so very very much.” Instead of a signature there was a smiley face with a mustache. Come on, you know what was the best part of my day.
