I”ve been reading a lot lately about the education that comes with making mistakes. At least, if we are lucky, we learn something. The point is, women who are really living life are going to mess up from time to time. Instead of berating ourselves, we should be smiling and moving on.
I’m on board with this because I mess up a fair amount. To be able to celebrate instead of agonize would be wonderful. However, I have decades of voices in my head telling me screwing up is bad. Screwing down is bad. Even screwing around is bad. Until I can accept that shame won’t wash over me in a salty wet ker-sploosh of embarrassment (or tears), I’m still going to minimize the mistakes as much as I can. I want to be a fully-living-wild-woman who doesn’t care what people think, but I keep tripping over responsibility, and experience, and all those words and feelings that tend to make me me. Perhaps I’m mistaken. 🙂

I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays..

Hi! The answer is both. I had the idea and pictures (my icon lady is my great-aunt Margaret, a woman I dearly loved), and then I took the raw material to a young web designer named Lauren (see her site listed on my home page). Between the two of us we came up with this site. I’m really pleased that you enjoyed your visit.
