As I just mentioned last week, the ebbs and flows of hormones embody menopause. Almost daily there is a new mystery, emotion, or awareness about this midlife phase.  And just as my journey into puberty was most likely different than yours, the menopausal experience is also as individual as the women undergoing the changes.
The debate between using hormone replacements– or not– is unending, as is the controversy between synthetic and bioidentical.  I will not delve deeply into this topic at this time.  However, let me say this…I’ve been on bioidentical hormones for at least six years, and they’ve worked well. I’m not symptom free, but I’m pleased with where I am in the process. Part of the challenge of finding the right balance is that the hormone levels are constantly changing.  We can talk about this more next week!  Until then, please feel free to add your comments, questions, and experiences to the conversation.
